Rod Zapién

My voice career started when I was 19 as I visited a friend's production studio. They heard me speak and had me do a few tests that ended up making the real commercial. Since then I've gotten jobs that range from sweet man's voice, all the way up to a killer's voice over the phone. And I've done this both in English and Spanish. This ability gave me the chance to always be in front of my class in school since I was a kid, because my voice had good projection. I've trained as an actor mainly in my home town of Tijuana, Mexico, as well as Los Angeles. I started as a musician when I was 13 years old by training as a singer, later on musical theater, drama, comedy, stage character development, actor's preparation, and improvisational comedy in Second City in Los Angeles. I have a set of microphones that I use mainly for my live shows with my band. I am currently using also a Zoom H4 recorder for voice recording. I also have access to a local recording studio where I record my music. I am musician, singer, guitarrist and drummer, I am a middle school physics teacher, therefore I am always in front of an audience. I am a trained actor and I mainly work in theater, as well as audio visual production.
