Most of my voice over experience is in Professional Instruction. More specifically motivational and instruction.
I have recorded numerous books on CD and MP3 for my children, clients and friends.
One of my passions is creating a voice for the characters I am reading about. Sort of bringing the subjects to life. Usually this evokes laughter and fun in a quirky, humorous way.
I am an avid reader and can see the characters and space surrounding them as I intake the story.
In my recent past I have been an instructor for physical fitness classes as well as teaching a few hours per week medical assistant classes.
I spend some weekends reading to my "adopted" children at the library where I practice reading in character and sometimes puppet shows. I enjoy read/recording stories for children and hopefully soon Adult audio!
I hold an Associates in Medical Administrative Assistant and teach the course for Corinthian Colleges.
I have an AFAA degree as a professional fitness trainer and instructor trainer. I sold mini workouts on MP3 to clients when they were not able to take a physical class, especially to soldiers that had deployed Overseas during 2007-2011. The extent of my performing arts was to do performance demonstrations for a Major Fitness company during promotions and to reinforce the company brand.I did this off and on for 12 years from 2000- 2012.
There are several professional studio's in my city and booking is not a problem.
I own a voice over amp, headphones, microphone, recorder and have several audio conversion programs.
I love community, theater, the arts, music, reading, small performances and working for myself. I view being a voice over actor as self employment which I am accustomed to. I have worked for myself for over 16 years but recently gave up fitness training and look forward to a change of pace and a new life adventure. I am a hard worker and have a great personality for this work. Ever since I got my first job I have been told I had a great voice and should look into using my voice to work.
