I was born in the Mid-West, raised in the South, and came into my own in the North East where I now reside. Most people say my accent is "neutral", though, one clever cab driver swore up and down that I have a "Cincinnati" accent. However, I have not been there nor crossed paths with anyone who has in two decades...
I have 2 versions of my voice. There's what I liked to call the Customer Service or Phone Voice, that is soothing, smooth, reassuring, optimistic, confident, and empathetic. I imagine this would be more useful for infomercials, advertising places or new products, presentations, reviews- anything non dramatic or that might require acting. It's just a nice voice to put behind a mission.
My "real" voice, is a little gravely, weathered, tired, knowledgeable, slower, "he's seen things". It sounds like the type of person you want advice from, but who doesn't force advice on you. I imagine this would be useful for short ads like car commercials, dramatic roles.
I'm a writer and storyteller by trade, and am looking forward to working with you.
Thanks!
