I've worked in broadcasting since 1976. I now work in management at the Voice of America in Washington, DC. I have done work for the Russian, Indonesian and Chinese services. All in English. Currently I'm narrating audiobooks for ACX.com. I have several books on the market.
I recently produced promos in my home studio that are currently airing for the English language service at the Voice of America.
I've attended two broadcasting schools and received most of my education and experience by doing the job. I've worked in Dayton, Toledo, and Cincinnati, Ohio. I moved from Ohio in 1989 and began working mid-days at WASH-FM in Washington, DC. I then moved on to work at the Voice of America.
I record onto a Mac using Adobe Audition CC as my DAW. I'm currently using a Neumann TLM 49 mic and a Behringer preamp/mixer along with a DBX 286S Processor. I've taken training courses on Adobe Audition CC and CS6 and know the program very well. I have my own royalty free music library and adding music or sound effects to a production piece is no problem.
I'm experienced with multi track recording, cleaning up audio and producing and delivering clean sounding commercials and promos.
Besides working as a Telecommunications Manager at the Voice of America in Washington, D.C., I narrate audiobooks for ACX.com. I have several books listed on Audible.com and iTunes.
I produce program opens/closes for the English language service at the VOA and I'm working for a local radio personality producing his liners for his radio show.
