I have some experience in different directions (that would be all over the place). Most come from live presentations, seminars, and training sessions for employees or clients. I have done everything from writing the script through production and in a lot of cases the actual performance or delivery live. In those cases, I'm very good at "fielding fly balls" or an adlib if necessary. In one of my many past lives, I was a "front man" for a band, so I also sing when called upon.
I have BBA's in Marketing and in Management, and BBS in Economics. I have been given awards for speaking by "Toastmasters" and by various corporations for v/o on videos etc. I used to own an advertising company where we produced instructional/training videos as well as marketing materials (videos/audios)used in business to business formats and used for marketing in various venues. I also used to work for a large advertising firm where I was in charge of all production. I was involved in overseeing/managing all phases from pre-production to final edits and I was ultimately responsible for making everyone happy (client, upper mgmt, customers)with the final production.
First and formost I'm not trying to be an audio engineer. That technology changes about every six months. I have access to multiple studios/sound engineers. If you want to know "what kind of watch to buy for a specific purpose" I'm your guy! If you want to know "how the watch is built/or how the mechanism inside is manufactured" you need someone else. I just get the job done to spec +++ (those indicate more than asked for)
The overriding fact is that "I get it". I bring many skills to the table from managing a project to completion. Sure I want to be utilized for my voice, but the fact of the matter is, there's always the unexpected when producing a project. You need someone who can think on his feet. Something not right about the script? Something has to be done and not necessarily going back to square one. I am not Mr. Engineer, I am Mr. Problem Solver.
