I have one of the most distinct and unique sounds. My voice has always been my calling card. I had an experience in 2007 that changed my career goals 360 degrees. I was working as a Financial Consultant with AXA Financial Advisors in June 2006. I began my morning as I always do, checking my voicemail, and returning phone calls from the previous day. My office was located about 10 yards from the main entrance of the office building. There I was, just chatting away with one of my clients when I hear, "That's Ed Williams, I know that voice anywhere". Unbeknownst to me, a potential new hire was submitting his resume to the company in the main lobby. He happened to have attended High School with me 16 years prior. He was completely unable to see from the reception area. The only thing he had to go on, was a voice he heard some 16 years ago, that he apparently never forgot. Thats when I had to acknowledge the "800 pound Gorilla" in the room. I realized then, to sit behind my desk giving great financial advise(according to who you ask)was just not in the cards for me. A new passion was born that day. So, "Voice over world, "Here I come".
I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Arts. I took a voiceover class at the alliance theater in late 2005.
