Radio for 32 years has taught me to be versatile, creative, good in a pinch, quick, and ready for anything. Midday shift was my usual gig and my ratings said I was pretty good at what I did. My clients were pleased with their ads...I like to write, voice, and edit my own stuff...and most came back to me exclusively for future work. I've done a good deal of television spots for local tv stations. I've jocked at KYES fm in Eastland, Texas. That was phenomenal because my main gig was a call-in garage sale show. I moved on to KTLC fm in Abilene, Texas. Easy listening overnights....wow, Air Supply all night means a lifetime supply of Diet Dr. Pepper. I moved on to KWTL fm in Lansing, Michigan. They only had room for me on the weekends but it was a great experience. I took a few years off and went to KLAW 101 and Z94 in Lawton, OK. Earned some national buys for the sales team with a few spots there. I also skipped across the hall to Z to be the rocker chick. I loved them both and what air talent doesn't have some mild form of multiple personality disorder? From there I moved to a Top 40 called KMGZ fm. I did more of the same--middays, spots, remotes, and got a stint as the Program Director. Lately, I’m one part of the Morning Express duo on KTEX 106 in Brenham, Texas. As Operations Manager, I oversee the business and the creative.

I have two years in journalism and English but my real communications training is on the job. It's hard to find a quality female voice...so I've been told...and I'd like to think I am one.
I am using an iMac computer with CubaseLE1 or Garage Band. I have a Firebox and a Bluebird Mic. I have a small collection of music and can put a little ditty under if you want it.
I also work as a freelance children's educational writer...I work on deadline, I have to be self-motivated, and if I don't understand something, I'll pout for a bit then figure it out. My employers say I don't have a big ego and they can always count on me to take their criticism as constructive and do what I can to complete the project to specifications. It's not about me....it's about the client.
