I'm an award-winning reporter (AP Best Series, AP Best Long-form series, Edward R. Murrow for Best Newscast). Although most of my voice-over work has been in television news, I am making the crossover to radio and commercial work seamlessly, since they are so closely related.
My best work can be found in a variety of long-form television news series (15 to 20 minutes in length), in which I wrote, shot, edited and voiced in-depth reports... encompassing numerous topics. Three examples are: "The escape", about an inmate with bi-polar disorder who escaped a mental institution only to return years later as a counselor; the lives of three individuals from an underground gay community in a small Texas town and, my favorite, an historical look at the first white baseball player in the negro leagues.
Because of prior contract obligations, much of my voice-over experience until 2005 was for non-profit groups and charity events (Dallas Cowboys training camps 97, 98 and 99, Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, Providence House {a home for battered wives}, as well as ministry-supported work for churches in the North Texas and Northern Louisiana areas). I also did radio stints for Mix 102.9 as part of a morning show "switch", which included celebrity interviews and local news.
Most recent work: Health-related national promo spots for NBC (via NBC5 in Fort Worth) and Channel 11 (CBS Dallas-Fort Worth). (TV)

Currently using the latest software and sound effects for Mac (Garage Band and will be making the move to Logic within the next few weeks - Mid October), Rode NT1A Condenser Microphone (Winner of the Electronic Musician 2004 Editor's Choice Award and the world's quietest studio condenser microphone) and generic super-cardioid mic for those rough and tumble vocals with lots of noise (i.e, old-time radio, airline pilots, etc). I have easy access to one t.v. station recording studio and another independent studio in Dallas, if by demand.
I'm an accomplished writer and narrator with 10 years experience. I am also an accomplished musician and singer, often writing my own brand of music to fit certain projects. You may notice (then again, you may not) some background music is composed and performed by yours truly. I've played in several bands before, during and after college. Styles include Alt. Rock, christian and some light jazz.
I have a pilot's license and love golf, traveling (particularly Canada, Portugal and Hawaii) and Jesus (yes, I'm a christian and am often termed a "Jesus freak." I take it as a compliment.) Also, very adept at using the camera and video camera (Canon XL2 and Sony HD) editing with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro and, hopefully soon, Final Cut Pro 2.
