Equipment: Troy records in a studio-approved in-home recording booth, using a Sennheiser MK4 XLR Condenser Microphone, running into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, and using the Reaper DAW, running on a 2020 iMac.
From an early age, Troy could be found recording impersonations of characters and scenes, like Bugs Bunny’s Blacque Jacque Shellacque’, or Linus’ soliloquy on the meaning of Christmas in “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. He began entering (and winning!) public speaking competitions starting at age 8. Troy started acting around age 10, and has continued to do so through various school productions and then community theatre.
As an adult, through his earlier career, Troy has gained experience in professional fields, including as a lawyer; elected official; and public sector executive - all of which require strong skills in public speaking, presenting, and even performing. Those professional experiences have also taught him valuable lessons, such as the importance of taking direction well, having a collaborative mindset, meeting deadlines and working within budget.
Troy has now turned himself, full-time, toward more creative pursuits - getting back to the artistic use of his voice and skills that he enjoyed so much in his youth, with the underlying added benefit of his life and professional experiences.
