I have been doing voice and on-camera narrations for more than 20 years, including nearly 10 years as a TV news reporter/anchor in a top-30 market. I now work freelance full-time, with copy writing, voice overs and on-camera narrations.
I specialize in highly-technical, industrial and medical reads. On my own time, I have put together a glossary/pronunciation guide of the technical terms that have come up in those scripts. It is currently about 30 pages long. I also have several medical and pronunciation dictionaries, and pride myself on being prepared for a session.
I have a home studio, but also work regularly at well-respected commercial post-production houses with phone patch, ISDN, etc.
I earned a broadcast journalism degree from U-W Madison, and have since stayed current with workshops, seminars and classes. I am currently taking commercial voice lessons in Chicago, general voiceover lessons on interpretation, pacing, etc. and improv classes.
