About Terry
My delivery style has been described as reassuring, warm, conversational, confident. I can be intense, intimate and even heartwrenching if the copy requires. And though I do them infrequently, I can growl out an aggressive, hard-sell spot with the best of 'em. For business presentations, sales and web sites I tend to be more laid-back and easygoing.
Please take a moment to listen to each of my demos - you'll get a better idea of what I can do. If you have questions, just click on any of the "Contact" buttons on this page.
Thanks for your time!

- Experience, training, and equipmentI've spent years listening to the voices in my head! As a copywriter and production director, it's been my pleasure to work side-by-side with a wide variety of clients. I've written and produced broadcast ads and campaigns, done on-air comedy shorts, put together station promos and liners, won ADDY awards, acted in radio plays. My voice is currently heard on the liners for "Hot Rod Radio USA" with Wings Kalahan, as well as market-specific radio ads for the National Street Rod Association. A couple of recent projects include video narrations for an online software company and recorded commentary for a local history museum exhibit. While attending college working toward a broadcast journalism degree, I got impatient, leaving early to jump into the real world. I never looked back. Everything I've learned since then has been self-taught, aided by personal tutoring from a number of veteran voice artist co-workers. Digital recording software includes Sound Forge as well as a veteran, maybe even collectible, copy of Cool Edit Pro (later Adobe Audition) multi-track software that I absolutely refuse to give up. My current voiceover microphones come from Shure and MXL Electronics. I also have a Zoom portable digital recorder that I use for on-location recording. I plug those into a Mackie mixer and a PC workstation or a laptop depending upon my needs at the time. That audio gear is housed in a space-efficient, sound-controlled home studio. It's very basic stuff, but it's also "basically bulletproof"! My past business experience includes ownership of a video store and tanning salon. I'm a lifelong gearhead, so if you have anything related to cars, racing, hotrods or other internal combustion stuff I'm all over it. Huge music fan (all genres).. as well as having a long-time passion for photography.
