About Sylvia
Sylvia is a voice artist, vocal coach and director.
Sylvia owns and operates, Purely Vocal Casting specializing in A.D.R. Voice Casting and WALLA Loop Group for Feature Films,TV shows, Video Games and Animation.
Sylvia was the English speaking announcer at Whistler Medals Plaza in Whistler, British Columbia for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. She's created and voiced many different animated characters for anime, pre-lay and video games as well as Japanese and German dubbing for Azur Productions, Ocean Studios and Urban Sound Brew.
Sylvia's voice is warm, friendly, inviting and easy to listen to. She has excellent diction, is clear and concise and easy to understand. Sylvia reads copy easily and takes direction well.
Narrative reads are one of her strengths and she is very effective at getting important factual information across to the listener/viewer.
As a classical voice major in University, Sylvia studied and sang in several languages including German, French, Italian, Latin and Spanish. Reading and pronouncing foreign language content (names, places, historical data etc.) is one of her strengths. Sylvia has also sung in Hebrew and Yiddish.
Sylvia loves zany characters and has a wacky, fun side too!
