*With a long experience in radio and tv commercials since 1980, can interpret any character a client ask for. **With substantial experience in voiceover, dubbing, anchoring and interpreting institutional, corporate and character voices in commercial drives most of all in Costa Rica and Latin America, but also for Spanish speaking audiences in the United States, English speaking customers in Jamaica and Canada, also French speaking Canada and Portuguese in Brazil. Sylvia Rodríx is a renowned radio and TV announcer with a major professional career combining vocal and interpretative skills, an academic background in drama, anthropology, and journalism in performing as a newscaster and anchor at recognized radio and TV magazines, also with a solid background on radio and TV production in Radio Nederland Training Centre in Hilversum, Holland. Has a major radio programming background for children and adolescents, winning consecutively in 1993 and 1994 the UNICEF Communications Prize for “Gurruminas”, a children´s daily program – in recognition for excellence in broadcasting for the youth. As of 2010 has been the host at ADN Radio in Costa Rica of a talk show “Hablar por Hablar”. Starting with a university degree on Drama went to develop a professional career as an Actor and then she became an Author and Director of plays for children. Presently performs as an independent Actor. Languages include French, Portuguese, Italian and English, besides Spanish as mother tongue. As a professional actor Sylvia can make any character and any voice a client needs. She has professional degrees in Drama, Journalism, Anthropology and Psycology, which all together conspire for a great result. Since 1994, has shared her personal know-how and experience by teaching students and professionals in journalism, radio and TV broadcasting in and outside Costa Rica. Also has developed professional work as Communications Coach on voice and speech coaching, and communications skills for executives. As Communications Coach she developed: IMAGE AS COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE, a complete program to help the executives improving their voice image, body language and active listening to build a solid executive and personal projection.
