Second acts: The opportunity after one’s initial vocation for time and passion and enthusiasm for additional learnings, activities, skills and pursuits.
I am embarking on my personal second act as a Voiceover Actor.
I have been studying and training with a professional coach for a year and I am now working with a mentor to learn the technical and sales aspect of this my second occupation. My voice has been described as approachable, compassionate, outgoing, energetic, educated, articulate, witty, satirical, sassy, snappy, and genuine.
I now realize the skills or talents involved in successful teaching, my former vocation, carry over into my newest endeavor: Teaching must include the ability to motivate by selling a good product (subject), displaying enthusiasm for the subject, presenting the subject in a most favorable light as well as providing interesting information in a lively and engaging way.
I encourage you to listen to my demos, for I would appreciate your honest critique. I bring enthusiasm and dedication to each and every project I voice with trusted reliability and with an awareness that my role is service to you and your organization.

I was a Latin teacher for many years; a vocation that requires stamina, enthusiasm (for people and the subject), intellectual curiosity and everyday the opportunity for acting improvisation. How else to get students interested and involved?! Acting/demonstrating grammar points, sections of stories, characters in stories or history...and even acting enthusiastic and interested when not feeling well or things were not going well at home.
