I got my start doing voice overs working at a recording studio here in Wisconsin. I was initially employed as the receptionist but when the owner got a load of my general craziness and ability to act he began asking me into the studio to voice scripts for various radio and televisions commercials.
In 2002 I began working in the Creative Department for Woodward Radio Group in Appleton, Wisconsin. My responsibilities include writing, producing and voicing commercials for Woodward's 2 AM and 4 FM stations.
I also have done many freelance projects for television, radio and on-hold messages in the area. I have also hosted real estate video tours online.
Although I did not attend a university, I have received the best training possible by working closely with recording professionals when I was employed at The Bridge recording studio and in my current position at Woodward Radio. The on the job training using the editing software made available to us there (first SAW and now Adobe Audition) has been invaluable.
My experience is all derived from real world work, not attending classes.
In my home studio I have a Nady Studio Ribbon Microphone RSM-3, a Behringer Eurorack Mixer UB1222-FX-Pro and use Soundtrack Pro software on an Apple Power Mac G-5.
In addition to voice over work, I could also write copy for various projects. I have done on camera work for television commercials and real estate videos, some modeling, still photography and video production. I've also been known to belt out some songs on Rock Band.
I love doing all things creative and expressive!
