In Japan, I did voiceovers in English for broadcast advertising commercials, public announcements, business presentations, exhibit displays, and training materials. I have so far worked only in studios, but I am interested in trying other technologies. I am a professional educator and trainer. My usual speaking voice is midwest US, but I can do regional accents throughout the US. I have lived in Italian-speaking Switzerland, Japan and Malaysia, and have visited many other countries.
I have a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics, which informs me about phonics and phonetics. I can speak intermediate-level Japanese, and some German & Spanish. I lived & worked in Japan for over 13 years, and visited many Asian countries during that time. While in Japan, I had many voiceover contracts, all recorded in studios. I also lived & worked in Malaysia for a year. Then I moved to New York City, where I was exposed to a number of working accents. I worked for Fox Television News, which informed me about television broadcasting. I was in NYC for five years. Then I moved to Italian-speaking Switzerland, where I was informed more about European languages in context.
I am a professional and successful teacher & trainer. I am accustomed to working in teams to provide solutions for an organization's success. I am familiar with many computer software applications; I am not afraid of technology.
