I have copy-writing experience and also had to pick out music, SFX and voice my own radio spots for years while working in radio.
My career in radio spans 40 years. I've worked in every format from Metal to Smooth Jazz and have found something I liked about every one of them. I loved prepping for my show and researching music, artists, and events to talk about on the air. Interviewing musicians and celebrities was always a blast and I'm good at drawing them out to reveal their personality.
Besides radio, I was a Traffic Reporter for several years at Metro Networks & Total Traffic/NY and had great fun at that job. Researching the info and assimilating it then reporting it to various stations was intense and a challenge-you have 45 seconds to get traffic info in for 3 states, do a spot and then give your outro! Whew!
