Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts - Music (1996-2000) - majoring in Classical Voice at York University. I am currently working on my singing technique and recording original songs.
Also, I have taken theatre courses at York (1996-2000), including Acting for Non-Majors and Voice and Speech, which helped develop my speaking technique. Additional acting classes were taken with Alan Goodley at The Acting Academy, and with Marcia Bennett at the Centre for the Arts (film scene study).
I have an Audiotechnica AT2020 Condenser microphone, Cubase Artist 10 recording software and an Allen&Heath ZED 10FX mixing console with a digital interface. For live purposes, I have a Marshall amplifier for my electric guitar and a Sennheiser 935 vocal microphone. I play acoustic guitar at an intermediate-advanced level and piano at an intermediate level. As part of my music degree, I studied Synthesizer performance and Songwriting and Repertoire. I am familiar with what sounds pleasing to the ear, and I am familiar with equalization and FX controls, both on hardware and in software.
I have an extensive amount of administrative experience that has allowed me to develop my organizational and business skills. A great deal of this experience involved reception work, which helped me to develop a professional-sounding voice. I am good at time management, and I am a reliable worker as well as a team player. I pay great attention to detail. I am willing to work at a project until everyone is satisfied.
