About Sonia
Sonia Ulrich is a voice actor located in Los Angeles, CA, USA. She has been actively working as a voice actor since undefined. Listen to 4 voice over samples that showcase her best work.
Sonia started her career behind the mic in the late 90's when she was a radio DJ. She eventually became a traffic, news, and sports reporter on many of the highest rated stations in San Francisco in the early 00's. When looking to get into voice over back then, she was told she'd need to take an improv class. She eventually dropped the radio and kept the improvisation. She studied improv from some of the best in New York and Los Angeles. She also dove more into acting with The Atlantic Theater Company in New York and Sam Christensen Studios in Los Angeles. Through out this time, she had her own personal training business. Though she has shifted to voice over, she still goes hiking as often as she can. She had her Post-COVID "ah-ha" moment when she asked herself "What has made me happy in the past?" Immediately, she saw herself behind the mic. She also realized she had just offered to read a book to her wife since it wasn't an audio book yet, so getting back to using her voice made a lot of sense! Sonia lives in Los Angeles with her wife, son and dog. She is obsessed with Angel City Football Club (LA's women's pro soccer team) and plays Flag Football when she can.
