From as far back as I can remember, strangers have told me how pleasant and sexy, or clear and professional my phone voice is. It never occured to me that I could make money with it, until a friend whose father was a successful voiceover artist encouraged me to do it. After training in LA and relocating to New Zealand, my voice over career took off, and I have voiced a range of jobs including commercial voice tags for the top whiteware company Fisher & Paykel, recorded CD Roms for Wendy Pye, and testimonials for Les Mills. I have done a Maybelline spot and a variety of local radio spots.
I spent 10 years in Los Angeles, California working in the film industry. I trained under top voiceover agent and voice coach, Leigh Gilbert, and also was involved in the voice-over workshops of Kalemenson & Kalmenson.
I have taught English, which has been very useful in recording CD ROMS for the Educational Books market. I have a pleasant, authoritative voice and can handle educational jargon. My editing skills and knowledge of English usage has also come in handy.
I have a stage and on-screen background and have been a professional camera assistant for the motion picture industry.
