Moderate. But I have a ton of experience making presentations to environmental/municipal groups and trying to keep the attention of school kids who would much rather be someplace else. I was a character guide for Ride the Ducks in Philadelphia which required keeping random groups of tourists happy while I made a complete fool of myself several times a day (picture quacking out "YMCA" - along with gestures - in an open Duck Boat as you ride through the city; my children were ready to disown me). But I had a great time doing it! I have done on-camera voice recording for industrial training videos with and without a teleprompter. I have recorded voicemail messages for various companies. I have been the announcer at art auctions, local parades and neighborhood gatherings. I do NOT have stage fright. Give me a microphone and I'm "ON."
I have had extensive VO training with Joanne Joella (www.joellaarts.com - feel free to use her as a reference) through Mike Lemon Casting at their studio and one-on-one with Joanne. Before that, I had taken a VO course through VoiceCoaches in Albany, NY. I have been a part-time actor/model for years and have made several commercials, industrials and training videos. I work extensively as a hair/makeup model at QVC and also film B-roll video for them. My degrees are in Biology and Environmental Education and, through my work on various County boards, I have a great deal of experience making presentations and conducting workshops both at the university and municipal level. I have also created a blog for my sister-in-law and write on there as "The Sous Chef" as well as attend trade shows with her to promote her cookbook.
I do not have my own studio but I do have access to professional studios at Mike Lemon Casting and at Joanne Joella's. Both studios have state-of-the-art recording equipment. I would also have the benefit of coaching and direction at either place.
I have an extensive background in the scientific and medical fields and I am very comfortable using relevant terminology in these areas. Most of my industrial work is in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. I currently work part-time in an environmental engineering industry and have held environmental advisory positions on open space and parks department Boards for years. All of these areas also required public speaking and making presentations. I've been married to a serial entrepreneur for 43 years and have three grown children -- nothing scares me.
