All of my voice over experience has come in the form of commercials that were used specifically for local radio. I've done advertisements for local businesses, concerts and public events. I've done various things from portraying a woman upset over the condition of her hair (for a local hair salon) to one line disclaimers to be played at the end of radio programming.
I did live radio for 6 years. As a radio personality I interviewed national artists and local business owners, read public service announcements and gave intros and outcues for the music being played.
I also, for several years, was employed as my church's announcement clerk and read all church announcements to the congregation every Sunday morning.
I earned a B.A. in Communication from Saginaw Valley State University (Saginaw, MI) in August 1997.
The bulk of my knowledge of voice over work was acquired while working in the radio industry from 1995-1999 and 2000-2002.
My career is in Corporate Community Relations which requires me to frequently speak in public to large audiences. From school aged children to senior citizens, goverment officials to average citizens, print and broadcast media I speak and am expected to taylor the same message to fit the crowd before me.
