I was discovered by a Fiction Audiobook company because they had seen me in a film and loved my voice for their products. I read a dozen or so books for them, playing a variety of characters, then they liked my voice quality enough to ask me to do their commercials and internet advertising as well.
From their I got an VO agent and have done Video games and commercials. Most notably and perhaps the coolest product being a campaign I'm currently doing for Harley Davidson playing on National TV and the internet.
Also have a show on the History channel for which I'm the narrator.
I've only been doing VO for a few years, but I've been acting for nearly 20. My approach to VO work is much the same as my approach to acting - be a person, communicate, have a point of view and talk like you mean it.
I graduated from LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) where I received the most vocal training.
I received a BFA from Whitman College - a small liberal arts college in Walla Walla, WA.
I've studied for around 10 years in Los Angeles with a variety of acting coaches, my favorite is Richard Lawson.
I've got a board and a nice condenser mic. I've got a perfect setup to deliver quality auditions and to do scratch vocals. I can get a really clear read with my equipment and I'm proficient at editing and matching.
For HQ work, I'd prefer to get a studio, where the sound proofing is better and the mic is of a higher grade. There are studios all over the place and some within 10 minutes of my home.
