If you're looking for voice acting experience, someone with proven results, a master of the craft, the best of the best.....look elsewhere. I have NEVER done anything professionally. That's not to say that I couldn't but it doesn't feel right to lie to you ;o). I'm 34 yrs of age, spent 11 yrs in the Australian Army, now live in Minnesota and get tired of people asking me "Where's your accent from?". I use voices at parties, around friends, on the golf course, in the shower and in the car. This is to amuse others but I think I mainly amuse myself (which I'm quite fine with)....the shower 'work' is definitely just to amuse me, although the wife sometimes overhears and asks me who I'm talking to. That conversation usually ends with her walking away and muttering "weirdo" under her breath. If you're still reading this, I am NOT a professional voice....guy (I'm wondering why you're still reading this - let me borrow a line from The Simpsons....Purple Monkey Dishwasher - no reason, I just like it).
College Degree? Are you serious? How cool would that be. You'd have to suck really bad if you didn't graduate THAT course. Sorry, I've got nothing. Raw Talent? Is that something? It was given to me, I didn't earn it. Maybe that doesn't count.
I just bought a $10 microphone for my computer, from Target (this will surely make a funny story when I become a famous voice guy).
I recently operated a twin CD mixing station for a Frank Sinatra impersonator (picked it up that night without training). Maybe that doesn't count...
I bet you've sifted through a lot of boring "resumes" with people telling you how good they are and everything they've done. Mine's quick - Done Nothing.
I just had to hit the back button a couple of times to add this - it turns out that my profile address (or whatever it's called) is ScottJohnson5. That means that there are 4 other Scott Johnson's? That sucks. I bet they have 'experience' too. I'm not even 'Lucky Number 3'.....I'm 5. There's nothing special about 5.
I just had to hit the back button a few more times. I'm not prepared to pay $300 for something that might not even eventuate. I mean, seriously. That will stop me being exposed (no, I won't run with that....no matter how much I want to) to all the good stuff (I guess, I didn't really see what advantages it gives me). Sorry, that's it, I promise not to hit the back button again. Once I make $300 I'll upgrade my profile (that sounds fair).
