I have been told many times that I have a John Goodman sound to my voice. I have been utilized in several occasions in my job as a firefighter to provide emcee services during different types of public events due to my deep and clear speaking voice. I have also been told I have the sound of authority and I feel very comfortable speaking about technical information. I am comfortable with radio and on-camera work as well. I have been interviewed several times in the past for local cable programs pertaining to public safety.
I have been professionally trained by Tish Hicks, founder of the VoDojo in Burbank, California. Tish is a well respected member in the voiceover industry in Los Angeles and Chicago. She is a talented voice actor in several genres, as well as a gifted voice coach and mentor. I continue to attend voiceover workshops and workout sessions, along with continuing to hone my voice acting skills with each audition. I hold an associate's degree in fire technology, and I am completing a bachelor's degree in applied studies with an emphasis in management.

I have spent the last 30 years working as a firefighter/paramedic in Los Angeles. I recently retired in early 2011. I continue to teach recruit firefighters and paramedics at a community college in Los Angeles. I have a technical background in emergency medicine. I also teach CPR classes for the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross. I am very well suited for voiceover work in medical and other technical projects. I read and speak very clearly and understand annunciation of large and/or complicated words used in these fields. I enjoy speaking to groups of different sizes and backgrounds, and I always welcome new challenges and experiences.
