When I was 18 years old, someone overheard me having a conversation in a convenience store and asked if I'd ever done radio commercials. I gave him my number and a few weeks later I did a spot for Arby's Roast Beef. From there, I was hired by a company in Dallas, TX called Criterion Productions and had quite a lucrative career doing voice overs for local car dealers, local sporting events, Nationwide Insurance, etc.
When I became a professional singer I devoted most of my time to writing and producing my own music, but did voiceovers periodicaly such as: TXCN Weather, Mansion Minders, Texas Tech football, Class Act Limo and many others.
12th grade education
I was guitarist/singer on the Daystar Christian television network with Joni and Marcus Lamb for 7 years, and also appeared on the program several times as a musical guest and speaker. (I also did several voiceovers for the network)
I've been a music director and choir/band workshop speaker for 12 years.
I've performed in pretty much every venue in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and am currently the music and media director for the New Life Worship Center in Tyler, TX.
I use SONAR Pro 6.0 recording software, Yamaha MX400 24-channel mixing console, Roland Super JV-1080 sound module, Alesis DM5 drum module.
One of my greatest abilities is to sit and listen to someone who doesn't know how to sing, can't write a song to save their life...take that and make something good out of it! (that just happened to me once again here in my studio) People are always coming to me with a song idea, but they have no musical or singing ability. I take it, create a music bed and rewrite some words if neccessary. Then, I demo the song to a very happy client. The only bad thing is....then they start writing even more bad songs that I have to fix! ha But seriosly, I do enjoy creating with music and voice.
