He has lent his voice to numerous iconic characters, most notably Bowser in Nintendo's Super Mario franchise. Burns began his career in voice acting at the suggestion of a fellow voice actor Pat Fraley, quickly gaining recognition for his ability to impersonate figures like NBC News Anchor Tom Brokaw, Barney Fife fromThe Andy Griffith Show, Film & Television actor Clint Eastwood plus dozens of animated cartoon characters. His talent for mimicry and characters eventually found their way on to video games where Scott found international fame as being the first ever English speaking BOWER for Nintendo's Super Mario franchise. Beyond his contributions to Nintendo, Burns has an extensive portfolio, including work with Microsoft, McDonald's, and Boeing. He has also been involved in radio, serving as a morning show personality in both Boston and Seattle. Throughout his career, Burns has been noted for his ability to 'shape-shift' his voice to meet creative specifications, delivering natural and improvisational performances. His clients, including Nickelodeon, Foster Farms, and T-Mobile, have lauded his contributions to commercial, narration, promo, explainer, eLearning, animation, and documentary projects. In addition to his voice acting endeavors, Burns offers private coaching and voice demo production services, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience with aspiring voice actors.
