I'm getting my feet wet to the business, but have a lot of life experience and I am very serious about making voice over my next career. Currently, I work with the INSPIRE stroke Aphasia recovery program at Methodist Hospital, recording current magazine and news articles. Recently, I completed a project for Minneapolis based Seward Corporation, doing narration for an interactive video project. While working on my masters degree, I did telephone work, recording over 300 greetings/on hold voice messages, for a company called Performark, Inc. in Bloomington, MN.
I have a short poetry reading selection on CD in conjunction with an art exhibit at Frank Stone Art Gallery in Minneapolis, available upon request.
I did a podcast interview, on a literary & arts site called mentalcontagion January 2007, in the archives, section.
Another narration/character demo is featured on the talent roster for an audiobook production company in the Twin Cities area.
What I have to offer any project is enthusiasm, a relaxed demeanor, various sounds, a sense of humor, a professional work ethic, and potential.
In 2008 I graduated from 'Voices For All" Master Class, in 2007 I took the introductory class offered by that company, as well.
I hold an MFA in Creative Writing degree from Hamline University. As a poet, I have performed my work in front of live audiences countless times, over the past ten years, so I have perfected a clear, sonorous, voice, and quite good mic technique.
I have a B.A. in Communications/Broadcasting from the University of Minnesota. While getting my undergraduate degree, I voiced several TV and radio scripts, doing multiple female characters in each script. I also studied speech, acting and improvisation. I worked in televison for ten years in various production positions.
I will work in any of the many professional recording studios in the Minneapolis/St Paul and suburb areas. My home studio includes Pro-Tools, Digidesign, an ADK mic, and a Macbook. I can provide strictly dry recordings, delivery method will be MP3, AIFF, or CD overnight. As my business grows, I will re-invest in equipment upgrades and options to be more versatile.
