My Voice has been used all of my life. While not yet landing a professional voice-over job, my experience in recording my voice dates back to the days of High School. The days in which my friends would make me record an intro to their final project in hopes of making it more interesting. Doing the announcing for the talent shows and pep rallies. In college my voice would be used by a sound designer to make certain effects for their productions, like goblin noises or screams.
I studied theatre arts in Wisconsin where I received my B.A. in Theatre performance. There I took a lot of voice and diction classes, speech classes, and character voice classes.
While I do not have any equipment, my friend has a basic recording setup. This includes a mixer, microphone, pop-guard and a Mac with a recording program on it.
I am very diligent, and I focus hard on the task at hand, while constantly altering the dynamic in my voice to keep the project fresh and new and to discover new ways to say things.
