Whilst teaching English for BBC schools in Japan in the 1990`s and focusing very much on correct R.P. English and natural conversational style within pronounciation classes
I was invited to record a floor/store guide voice over for a large department store in Singapore. This was succesful and several other projects followed. These included a T.V. documentary, IVR`s for museum exhibits, and radio and TV adverts.

I have a BA honours degree in Creative and Performing Arts.
Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (Cert. TEFL).
My musical training was mainly classical and I gained grade 8 trumpet, grade 5 piano and grade 5 singing aswell as the relevant music theory exams. I therefore have a good understanding of correct breathing techniques and posture for maximum output and projection. I now teach music theory and piano to kids starting out in music.
I have succesfully used my voice throughout my working life to date within teaching English as a foreign language, telesales and drama.
Currently using Apple Mac and Logic Express software in my own home studio with Novation Xiosynth and high quality audio mic.
I LOVE using my voice to connect with the audience and get results. (This reflected very well in my early telesales carreer in which i always hit targets and above).
I have travelled extensively throughout the world. This has opened my eyes and mind to other cultures and given me a drive for communication. I believe my vocal diction is very clear (most likely as a result of travel and TEFL)and I am able to really `lift` words off a page to enhance and portray meaning.
I am very adept at sight reading text, therefore enabling me to complete read throughs and projects relatively quickly and submit to deadline.
