Ruth Urquhart is a voice actor . She has been actively working as a voice actor since 2013. She has worked for a diverse pool of clients and brands, such as BBC, CBBC and FANTAWILD. I am a character actor with an excellent range of dialects and characters. Having been raised in Scotland with English parents I can naturally switch between the two and regularly take advantage of this in my voice work. From cartoons to audiobooks, video games to commercial presentations and documentary/film voiceovers I can cover everything.       Excellent ear for accents and can pick new ones up very easily. Below are listed ones which I have had cause to use in my 20 years as an actor, Native Scot, (Borders, Edinburgh, Glaswegian, Highlands, etc), RP (standard and heightened) Southern Irish, Northern Irish (lived in Belfast for 5 years and my partner's from there so can do this very naturally!) Yorkshire, Lancashire, Geordie, Liverpool, Brummie, West Country, London, Essex Australian, American (Californian, standard, Southern, New York) Eastern European. South African, I do a good impression of Queen Elizabeth II and Margaret Thatcher. My heightened 1930's style RP (ala 'Brief Encounter' )is particularly good.
