I was born in Birmingham and lived in Sheffield for most of my life. As a child, I was regularly acting in productions at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield and attended dance school from the age of two to sixteen. Familial influences include Ireland, London and Birmingham which has had an unusual effect on my accent. I am married to a French native and we speak French in the home. I have a BA (2.1 Hons) in French and Spanish, a CELTA and twenty years of teaching experience at secondary school level. I worked as a video presenter for Vidlearn Subject Knowledge Enhancement which delivered online courses to Initial Teacher Training Institutions throughout the world.
