About Ronald
Ronald Thompson, professionally known as The Bass Orator, is a Jamaican-born voice actor and narrator with a rich baritone that commands attention. He is known for versatile deliveries, seamlessly switching between authentic Jamaican and Caribbean accents and a neutral American sound. His work includes commercial voice-overs, brand anthems, corporate narration, trailers, promos, and character voices for animation and audio drama.
Ronald’s credits include CIBC First Caribbean, Western Union, the Jamaica Tourist Board, Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Couples Resorts, and All Caribbean Wrestling (ACW). He voiced the Moon King in the animated feature The Sky Princess alongside Vivica A. Fox, and appears as a key voice in the trailer for Jamaica No Ja Makai, a groundbreaking Jamaican anime project. He also hosted the Brooklyn-based music series Dollar Van Demos and performed in the acclaimed audio dramas The Deep Vault and Archive 81 (later adapted into a Netflix series).
