Twenty years as a stage actor in Chicago and Montana doing everything from outdoor Shakespeare to singing Bertolt Brecht ala Tom Waits, has honed my voice into a well used tool.
Recently I have joined Midway Games in there "Mortal Kombat" video game franchise, adding voices to several characters in that series plus doing voices for one of their sports titles, "Blitz: The League."
I have done radio spots including one recently for a Stovetop stuffing ad here in Chicago. I've worked in radio both as a news announcer and on-air talent, KMMS FM and KGLT FM respectively and am very active in the Chicago theatre community.
I have BA degrees in both Theatre and Film production from Montana State University where voice was a focal point of my studies.
My three years in radio was instrumental in honing my on-air skills in delivery of text, extemporaneous speaking and timing.
Twenty years as an actor, with occasional workshops along the way
Something that is interesting to note. Though I was born and raised in the States, I am of Persian descent and because of my looks I have been frequently cast in roles that require a Middle-Eastern dialect. This is to say that I have become specialized in this dialect and I find that in our industry and during these times it has come to be quite useful.
