About Rio
I am a docuseries host for 'Out of the Boondocks' on PBS, was a radio host on Radyo Filipino Amerika, and am a narrator for several Youtube explainer videos. My microphone is a Maono Condensor Mic with soundproofing.
With over 20 years of acting experience, I am a trained actor with a BA in Theatre from UCSD. Other acting training includes Steppenwolf West/CSU Summer Arts and Voice Acting courses at Mesa College. I also acted as a Standardized Patient for UCSD Medical School for several years.
My voice comes from growing up in a multilingual, multicultural community of mostly Mexican and Filipino Americans in Southern California.
