Rill Askey (the voice artist formerly known as Marilla Wex) is now based in the South of England after spending 20 years in Canada. She has been actively working as a voice actor since 1988. She has worked for a diverse pool of clients and brands, such as Mojang, the BBC and Jaguar. Listen to 52 voice over samples that showcase her best work. Rill's 30 years of performance experience means she can be dropped into virtually any medium and not create casualties. She holds a Gold Crystal Award for the best Radio Commercial Performance in Canada and a OneVoice Award for Best Character Animation Performance in the UK. Her nickname in both recording and tv studios is “The One-Take Wonder”. Rill’s classically-trained theatre background brings gravitas, strength, reliability and sophistication to corporate copy. Her tv and film experience enable her break scripts down quickly and deliver pitch-perfect performances in record time. Her 15 years of stand-up comedy and improv experience give Rill the flexibility and humour needed for commercial reads.       Rill is a classically-trained, multi-award-winning voice artist with over 25 years' experience in the UK, Europe and North America. She has extensive experience in corporate work, narration, eLearning, videogames, cartoons, commercial work, television and movie ADR and looping and is the voice of the computer in the reality tv show Panic Button. Her most recent project has been voicing the YouTube series The Secrets of Minecraft for Mojang, for which she won an award for Best Animation Character Performance at the OneVoice awards.
