Richard Loranger | Voice over actor

I'm an extremely experienced spoken word artist with over 500 featured stage performances to my credit, and I have emceed over 150 literary and music events. I recently did voiceover work for a documentary-in-progress and have been looking for more opportunities of the like. In June of 2024 I started a weekly monolog-format podcast titled "My 12-Month Video Fast," which can be found at https://www.buzzsprout.com/2370172. Two of my voice samples are taken from that and they should give you a good idea of my conversational style as well as writing. I have recorded both in audio and video studios, and currently am working with home recording equipment for the podcast. I’m comfortable in a broad range of venues and situations; my spoken performances have been in spaces from libraries and universities to theaters, bookstores, cafes, public spaces, and literary and music festivals, among others. My voice is rich and resonant and can convey empathy, calm, and understanding, with either undertones or strong expression of most emotions. I have a professional working and communication style and appreciate clearly outlined projects and criteria. I work well both in business and creative settings, and also enjoy improvisation and collaborative generation. As I’m just beginning to explore more professional voice work, my initial samples are of my own creative work, with the exception of three excerpted from interviews in the documentary-in-progress "Julia Vinograd: Between Spirit and Stone" by Ken Paul Rosenthal.
