PROFESSIONAL. VOICE OVER.
Rex has been an in-demand, American male voiceover actor for over 11 years. Well, he's been American his whole life. And male. This feels political now, let's just move on. He has produced hundreds of commercials, e-learning modules, corporate videos, and video games for clients like Doritos, Marvel, Google, Hewlett-Packard, Marriott Bonvoy, Scholastic, The US Air Force, Estee-Lauder, Samsung, Porsche, Bethesda Softworks, and many more.
He recently played a cookie-detecting robot for Intel, a bold brand voice for Doritos, Uatu the Watcher in Second Dinner's Marvel Snap, Dr. Strange in Six to Start's Marvel Move, and Vero Solas in Player One's excellent Destiny: Solas series, which also stars Fred Tatasciore.
He's based out of Baltimore, his home of the past 15 years. He was raised out near Frederick, MD though, so he's got some of that blue-collar stuff going on too. Urban and rural. Urbal.
His voice has been described as sonorous by Billy West. It was arguably the best moment of his VO career so far.

STUDIO DETAILS
Rex works in a custom built basement made with mass-loaded vinyl, lots of extra drywall, false floating walls, and a dozen or handmade Owens Corning acoustic panels for damping and tone shaping. He is elated not to rely on a boxy little booth. The twin industry standards, the Neumann U87 and the Sennheiser MKH416, are always up and ready to go with their respective UA LA-610 and John Hardy M-1 preamps, all running into Cubase 14 via a Lynx Aurora(n) converter. My raw sound is broadcast-ready, without any unnecessary processing added.
WORKING TOGETHER
Rex take his job very seriously. He is very responsive, in communication, in file delivery, and especially in invoicing. He understands the ins and outs of the processes involved in crafting multimedia projects, and does his utmost to make working with him as easy as possible. He prepares, he takes direction well, he's prompt and doesn't chat during a session. If anything, he's a little too curt at times. But time is precious to us all, and he vows to treat your time together respectfully.
BEYOND THE STUDIO...
As a musician and theater actor, Rex keeps himself busy around the Baltimore Metro area. He's currently playing bass in Landis Harry Larry, and recording material for his video game prog band, Random Battles. He also frequently collaborates with live local theater companies like the Baltimore Rock Opera Society. He's also a father, which is, frankly, the best.
TESTIMONIALS
"I have worked with Rex on more than one occasion, and each time he has excelled at his ability to portray the characters and lines I have written for the game trailers I hired him to voice. His remarkable tonal delivery and talent for creating quality voice overs is sure to be noticed by anyone who hires him to voice their next project. I highly recommend Rex." -Gage Allen, Player One Stories/Trailers
"Rex took the limited direction I gave him and turned out 3 separate audio takes that allowed me to put together just the right radio spot. Highly recommend him!" -Becky Christner, Cosmosphere
"Rex Anderson is a through and through professional that gets the job done quickly and professionally. I like when I can just hang back and let the talent do the job because they know what they are doing.
