MY STORY
After High School, I immediately joined the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman. I was stationed in Germany for three years and I loved communicating with the German people. I traveled Europe where I met many interesting people and I learned that people have the same interests and ideas anywhere you go. I am proud to be an U.S. Army veteran.
After my tour of duty in the service was up, I became a civilian Police Officer in Connecticut. I was employed as a Police Officer for 30 years, and in that time, I learned how to communicate with citizens that would ensure that they knew that I was there to protect them. Yes, there were times when I had to speak harshly with the bad guys, but I learned to use my voice to calm any situation down. I learned that the tone and inflection I used was just as important, if not more, than the actual words.
After I retired from the Police Department, I couldn't just sit around and watch Soap Operas all day. :) So, I attended culinary school and eventually opened up my own Food Truck. The Philling Station, Get it? haha!
I really learned how to use my sales voice in the truck. If a customer was unsure of what they wanted to get or if they were "just looking," I had the vocal skills to make sure they walked away with something and that they were happy.
I loved all of those careers and I truly believe that they were all stepping stones to becoming a voice actor. I have found my true passion in VO and I have never been happier! I've lead a life of service to the public because I believe that was my calling in life. As a voice actor, I can continue to serve and ensure my clients get exactly what they want, when they want it and with the highest quality.
