My name's Portland Helmich. I'm a highly directable voiceover talent with 20 years of experience, a trained actress who studied speech, voice, and accents and dialects at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. I've voiced documentary films for broadcast and museums, done countless corporate and commercial voiceovers as well as public service announcements. I've also worked a news host on WGBH Radio in Boston. Some credits: -the host/co-producer/co-writer of the acclaimed podcast, "Stranglers," about the Boston Strangler murders. - the narrator/co-producer of the documentary film, "JFK: The Last Speech," which aired on public television. - the host/producer/creator of the "Kripalu Perspectives," podcast about natural health, wellness, personal growth & spirituality. - narrated films and interactives for the National World War II Museum, the Mystic Seaport Museum, the American Writers’ Museum, etc. Some other clients: Fidelity Investments, Hewlett-Packard, Dunkin’ Donuts, WCVB-TV, the American Red Cross, Prentice Hall, Perkins School for the Blind, Appleseed’s, Project Safe Neighborhoods, Genzyme, Mellon Financial Corporation, Biogen IDEC, etc. I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Interface, an AKG214 microphone, Source Connect, digital delivery, remote recording, remote supervision editing capabilities, and on-site recording capabilities in the New England area.
