My experience has been in several different types of voice over talents. When I was young I worked at a local christian radio station as aDJ spinning records and making basic and simple announcements between records. After graudation from a local radio broadcasting school and a local college teaching broadcasting I went to work for a radio station doing everything from selling, creating campaigns, writing ads and on air work, also played Santa Claus that year for the whole city. Also the station I worked for broke the story locally about Love Canel before national TV & radio picked it up.After that I was hired as station manager for a local station where I did everything. While this was going on I operated a mobile DJ business that did weddings, fireman's picnices and different parties, continuelly being in front of a mic.
My education doing voice over started by myself teaching myself. After I had taught myself the basics in public speaking and competing in several public speaking contests in grammer school my interest soared, and I continued my education with a local broadcasting school and then nite school at a local college. After that all my training came from the college of hard knocks. At different times I have had my voice critic by different experts locally who have said that I have a excellent voice.
To begin with I have always written my own commericals and created different campagins for radio and some for TV. As far as different jobs go I was president and one of the owners of a communication company where we sold & installed total communication systems in several large business and national companies such as Walmart,Sam's Club,Office Max,Road House Grill to mention just a few. We traveled all over the Northeast selling, designing and installing total communications systems. As a young man growing up my parents owned a chain on dairy stores locally where all of us kids worked.also in the family run restaurant. Being my father had a strong work ethic he belived in also working a full time job also. As general manager of a national bakery with a local plant in Buffalo, all of us kids were required to work at the plant and learn from the ground up. Also my father was a experience butcher who taught all his children how to butcher steers. Our education & work experience took several different roads but my brothers & sister are much richer for it.
