For the past six years I've been working as the production director for NewsRadio1620 and Cat Country 98.7 in Penscaola, FL. I've written/voiced/produced Addy award winning commercials for many local clients, such as Pensacola Honda, Dunkin Donuts, Pensacola Opera, and so many more. From character voices, to straight reads, to narration, and even singing, my voice is constantly being pushed to do something new. For the Appleyard Agency, I voiced a longform narration for the 450th anniversary of Pensacola. I've also done phone systems for Mid Atlantic Concrete Equipment and Justek, and continue to do so whenever they need to add someone to their company!
In high school, I was always involved in theater, doing plays and musicals. Character voices were most important because most of us had to play about three roles per show.
I have a B.S. in classical guitar performance from the University of West Florida where I really honed the art of performing in front of crowds without getting stage fright.
When I went into radio I had to learn the art of opening up a live mic to thousands of listeners and talk without flubbing every day for hours a day. I also currently do a podcast for the Blues Society of Northwest Florida.
Mostly I use the studio at NewsRadio1620, which has Shure SM7B's and we edit with Adobe Audition 1.5.
My home studio uses an AKG Perception 200, also with Adobe Audition 1.5. I can email or ftp voice files in just about any file format/quality you need (one of the benefits of Audition 1.5 is that it can save in over a dozen formats beyond just mp3 and wav).
I'm also skilled in copywriting! And if needed I can provide music and sfx and provide a complete commercial. Also, I can provide a custom guitar track if that's something you're looking for, whether acoustic or electric, from rock to blues to metal to jazz!
