I have been a working voice-over artist since 2001. I started out doing industrials for local Philadelphia corporations like Wyeth Ayerst and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, graduated to local commercial spots for area colleges, added a national 60-second commercial for Golf Magazine, then became the voice of Nextel's direct marketing for over a year.
While continuing to do industrials for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, I did some statewide spots for the NJ Do Not Call list, updated the Golf Magazine ad, and threw in some regional radio ads in California for Villeroy & Boch china.
Since 2005, I've been doing consistent voice-over work for The Vanguard Group, recording industrials and web-based training narrations, and I'm currently the male narrator voice for their Plain Talk on Investing podcasting series. Since 2005, I have been an on-air guest at QVC, representing dozens of products from brands like Sharper Image and HoMedics during live television appearances.
A partial list of the companies I've done work for include:
Vanguard - IVR, podcasts, e-learnings, employee industrial videos
Comcast - industrial e-Welcome
Comcast - cable tv commercial
Villeroy & Boch china - regional radio commercial
Showtime on Demand - two radio commercials
Adelphia Cable - radio
NJ Do Not Call List - tv commercial
Big Brothers/Big Sisters - industrial promo
King's College - radio commercial
Bongo Bar & Grill - radio commercial
Aria Health - multiple radio commercials
After obtaining an English degree from the University of Pennsylvania, I worked on feature films in Philadelphia as a PA, and was recommended to a casting agency by numerous people who commented on my voice. I met with Joanne Joella at Mike Lemon Casting, who currently runs JoellaArts in suburban Philadelphia. I worked with Joanne for months to develop my craft, and booked numerous jobs during that time. My time with Nextel provided on-the-job training, as I was on mic about every two weeks for over a year, recording new marketing messages and learning as I went.
The years on QVC have been a great experience in developing my voice talents, as well as my live presenting skills. Live television adds a whole new dimension to my performances, and nearly every QVC Host with whom I've worked has commented on live tv about my voice quality.
Behringer B-1 microphone, Behringer UB802 mixer, Blue Snowball mic, recording in GarageBand and/or Audacity.
In addition to the hundreds of hours of voice-over work over the past 10 years, I currently work full-time as a Communications Consultant. I have sometimes been asked to put my writing and editing skills to use while on a job, as copy changes were necessary, and producers have accepted my input.
