I am a multi-award-winning broadcast journalist with a solid focus on voice over. My latest accomplishments include a one-time audiobook gift to a client who presented my narration to a close relative who has failing eyesight.
My achievements have been published in press releaess, newsapers such as The Amity Observer and The King Farm Chronicle, and glossy magazines such as Orange Life and The National Association for the Self-Employed.
My style has been described as soothing, smooth, warm, engaging, convincing, energetic when need be, caring, intelligent, natural, and always professional. My most recent projects have included a health care radio spot. I also acted on-camera in an interview role for a medical video. And, one of my favorite VO projects may be providing the female English voice translation for GE's "Beijing's Pride" video for the 2008 Olympics in China. As an aside, I also was the 2009 and 2007 Top Finalist Voice Over Victory contestant sponsored by The Great Voice Co.
My voice has been aired globally, nationally, and locally. Other recent voiceover gigs include doing TV commercials for realtors and voice mail systems. I am also "the voice" of several different IT services' phone systems greetings and "the voice" of an on-line educational university website. My vocal skills have been selected to help launch a multi-million dollar business enterprise marketing effort; next I will voice over for the company's website. I have been the voice of a podcast of positive news as well. Besides hosting a public television program in Atlanta, I also have been a special featured guest on public TV.
The bulk of my on air experience has been as a radio and TV voice mostly for newscasts. My radio anchoring career began in the New York major market area. When I relocated to Atlanta, GA, the highlight of my voiceover experience developed at CNN and other major market radio stations. Before relocating to to the CT-NY-NJ region from Rockville, MD where I did significant voiceover work for a huge school system and Reuters Health Video Online-DC.
My professional voice talent came about naturally. Lately I've been a Special Guest Speaker for several well-attended events. rI've taken brief voiceover seminars and basically keep my vocal cords in use in as healthy and safe ways as possible, i.e. no unnecessary shouting, screaming, or straining of my voice. I also gained valuable skills doing radio voiceovers. Thanks to my networking, I get critiqued by seasoned professional talent and other listening resources to stay on my toes and keep my vocal skills as polished as possible! You can never be too good!
For continuing education, I have been coached by leading VO experts in Washington DC, Connecticut, and phone conference.
