I have been the Voice of AT&T and their singular audible logo since the late 80's. Along with intercept messages and voice mail instructions for numerous phone companies and phone systems, I do instructive phone messaging for corporations like Harris Teeter, in the East; ie stock options for employees, insurance and benefits, as well as store locations and directions for truckers delivering product; numerous "on hold" messages for hospitals, banks, restaurants and other businesses informing callers of their hours of operation and services.
In my small studio at home I receive message requests from individuals through my website, www.patfleet.com, and processed through www.flowroute.com.
Although messaging has been prominent in my career, I have also done training video voice overs, and technical narratives, ranging in diversity from medical device companies to railway companies!
Attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio - 3 1/2 years, studies not related to voice training or performing arts.
Other than a natural ability I am self-taught.
I am able to record, edit and send .wav recordings, using Adobe Audition 3.0. My technical ability is limited but I am able to send via email 16bit 44100Hz or 8000Hz. My microphone is a Samson C01U USB Studio Condenser.
If necessary, I am easily "walked-through" changes in my format for an individual request!
My most valuable asset has been "connecting" to my audience, or individual listening to my words. Warmth and understanding of the information being conveyed is critical.
I worked for over 20 years as a technical support customer service representative for a medical device corporation whose customers were surgeons, OR nurses and quality assurance departments worldwide. It is vital to present a calm, knowledgeable voice to those under pressure in life and death situations.
