My artistic path, both as an actress and a translator, questions the female condition in our contemporary society. I brought to the stage stories of women challenged by cyberbullying (“Girls like that” by Evan Placey), gender stereotypes (“All over lovely” by Claire Dowie), present- day aesthetic canons, violence and discrimination. In 2017 I started the project “A women’s house” - a monologue written by nominee for the Nobel Prize in Literature Dacia Maraini focused on sex work, freedom of choice and feminism, still on tour in several cities (Roma, Milano, Catania, Trieste, Granada among the others). My collaboration with Dacia Maraini includes the televised broadcast of “Hurried Steps” for national television broadcaster RAI RADIO 3. For the screen I worked with Canadian director Dev Khanna in "Fondi 91" presented at the Toronto ReelWorld Film Festival and with Italian director Giuseppe Piccioni in "Esercizi elementari", first shown at Roma International Film Festival 2014. In "Dance again with me, Heywood!" featured by James Ivory (2019) which was premiered on Nov 20th at Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò home of the Department of Italian Studies at New York University, I performed the female lead named “Invisible Woman".
