My name is Jared Watkins and I’m a professional voice actor with a medium-to-low vocal range, a subtle natural rasp, and a distinct, textured tone that brings realism, grit, and emotional weight to a wide variety of projects. My voice is especially well-suited for video games, animation, audiobooks, narration, cinematic content, and grounded commercial reads, where authenticity and character matter more than polish alone. My voice over work includes the audiobook Canning Mastery, the independent video game Once Alive, and a YouTube animated series, along with additional ongoing projects currently protected under NDA. I’m comfortable stepping into roles that require believable dialogue, character immersion, emotional restraint, or darker tonal palettes, while still delivering clean, clear, and professional audio. What sets me apart as a voice actor is my real-world experience. Outside the booth, I’ve worked as a carpenter, fiber splicer, and even in precision dental manufacturing, creating the crowns that go on your teeth. These hands-on careers trained me to respect deadlines, communicate clearly, and take pride in delivering quality work every time—skills I bring directly into my voice over career. I also spent five years in the United States Marine Corps serving as a helicopter crew chief, flying missions from the back of helicopters. That experience instilled discipline, adaptability, and the ability to stay calm under pressure—qualities that translate naturally into high-stakes recording sessions, fast turnarounds, and client-driven revisions. In the studio, I’m known for being professional, friendly, responsive, and easy to direct. I enjoy collaborating with creatives, building long-term relationships, and contributing to projects where storytelling and intention matter. Whether the job calls for a natural conversational read, a rough or world-weary character, or a controlled, grounded authority, I aim to deliver performances that feel real and lived-in. I’m passionate about working across a wide range of media and continually sharpening my craft.
