OH, HEY. I’m Cody West. I’ve been talking into microphones since I was 14, which means I’ve spent a slightly unreasonable amount of my life in padded rooms. What started at a small AM radio station in Western North Carolina turned into more than two decades behind the mic — in radio, production, programming, and voice-over. These days, I work from my professional home studio creating voice-over that sounds less like someone reading a script and more like someone actually talking to you. Crazy concept, right? PICK A VOICE. ANY VOICE. COMMERCIAL Conversational. Energetic. Warm. Sarcastic. The guy next door. Whether you need believable and understated or something that cuts through the noise, I’ll find the personality hiding in your copy. NARRATION Sometimes you don’t need someone to sell it. You need someone to tell the story. Warm, engaging narration that keeps people listening without sounding like the guy from that training video you watched in 2003. CHARACTER Here’s where things get weird. And I mean that as a compliment. Big personalities, quirky characters, comedy, animation-style reads and voices that probably shouldn’t be allowed to live inside one person’s head. But here we are. IMAGING Radio is where this whole thing started. More than two decades behind the mic means I know imaging from both sides of the glass — not just how to voice it, but how it’s supposed to hit.
