Hello Friends! My name is Nicky, a professional voice actor and teacher. I taught third grade for many years, and in that time I was not only able to engage students, but hone my craft by incorporating hundreds of different voices and styles in my lessons and daily read-alouds.
I am knowledgeable in every area of voiceover including mixing, editing, and perfecting every read. I have done hundreds of jobs, and specialize in educational content for video learning curricula. I have also worked in radio, recording several spots locally for small and large businesses.
I am here primarily because I want to help you succeed in whatever project you can conceive at a reasonable and fair rate! I have seen so many people charging obscene amounts for a simple project. I’m here to make sure you are satisfied each and every time. I will always find a way to work with your budget and I promise you will quickly gain my trust!
I am always doing quick turnarounds and often have deadlines. I recently completed a large project with Wisewire —22 units that they required in two days. I came through with time to spare, and even had time for a retake. I am up for anything and everything, and will always tell you what I can and can’t do. 99% of the time, however, I can make it happen.
You can always contact me directly at 775-682-0105 if you are in a hurry and need something right away, or simply want to inquire if I can do a voice you have in mind.
You can also keep in touch through my website at Nicky@NickyPfaff.com.
Most recently I have been under contract with Wisewire and Pearson Education creating online learning curricula. I have portrayed hundreds of characters, including Thomas Jefferson, Lewis and Clark (and yes, even Pocahontas)!, world war 2 soldiers, Bank manager in the Great Depression, Little Red Riding Hood, Old time News anchor, tons of engaging narration, and the list goes on and on.
I have My Master of Arts degree and years of training as an actor, speaker, teacher, and most importantly, learner! I am always learning from my work, and it is incredibly rewarding on both sides of the fence.
Really, I’m just an ordinary dad to a wonderful son doing what I love, and trying to make a difference in the world of Education, advertising, narration, animation, or simply just provide a no nonsense professional sounding read. My friends say my main voice is similar to Carl Sagan. I’m super conversational and have great fluency of speech (as Benjamin Franklin would say) from my many years on the stage. I hate to use the word warm because it is often overused. I guess I would prefer the word genuine. I can easily go back and forth, however, between warm and gentle, rough and tough, animated, southern comfort, and professional.
