Experience...
During the mid 1990s I worked as a producer and presenter on local Television and Radio Stations in Oxford. In the late 1990s I did a couple of voiceovers for Yellow Productions, one for a make-up advertisement and the other for a movie trailer. My experience comes not just from the above but equally from the skills gained in training and coaching others in situations where clarity and precision are fundamental to excellent results.
Training...
I trained as a singer when I was young, and then as a choral director and conductor. I have worked in theatre as an actor, a director, and a producer. I understand how to tell stories and the importance of delivering statements to get just the right message across.
While I trained in acting and singing, my main focus was as a film composer. I studied at Berklee College of Music gaining a Professional Diploma in Film Scoring with a minor in Choral Conducting (2001), and at The University of Californias's USC's prestigious SMPTV course (Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television) gaining a Graduate Certificate (2011). I am an award-nominated composer and an award-winning producer. Following my time at USC I ran my own music and sound production company in LA.
I am a skilled copy writer, able to present information in a condensed and understandable manner. I have worked as a newspaper editor, a script editor and story advisor.
The complete package...
When combined with my acting skills, and musical and production talents, I am capable of shaping and completing an entire spot or trail to the desired broadcast standard.
Equipment...
I have an Audio Technica Microphone connected to an Apogee Duet which feeds into Logic. Surrounding the Mic is a shield to allow for clean audio capture. Other microphones are available to me if required, though might take a couple of days to get hold of.
I have a ton of third party audio plugins (in addition to the Logic standard fair) and a huge instrumental sample library.
I am also a highly experienced and successful rowing coach, meaning I am able clearly to explain and instruct athletes of varying ages and skill levels.
